Today marks the official launch of TechJordan!
A group of techies who are passionate about IT and Jordan met last year, and decided to establish an association that will benefit a sector in IT that requires a lot of attention.
This sector targets IT professionals, students and IT people in other industries.
We believe that there is a lot of support that can be provided to our students in Jordan, where we can provide them with the right training and by providing them with career guidance that they need before and after graduation. One day, we were all students majoring in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Programming and we had no idea what are we going to specialize in or what and where are we going to work, but this is about to change. We believe that TechJordan can provide our students with the guidance, knowledge and tools they need to enter the IT market with confidence.
For the first time in Jordan, TechJordan will be delivering a Mentorship program. This is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person will be helping IT professionals and students.
Specialized training courses will be provided where special discounts will be given to the members of TechJordan.
We also believe that women play a major role in the development of the IT sector in Jordan, a role that can not be ignored. Therefore we provided a special program for that matter.
Supporting the IT community will be performed through our ICT Community Support Program. The program will support all IT people in solving day to day operational problems related to IT.
Supporting the IT community and the entrepreneurs goes beyond the boundaries of the ICT Community Support Program with Tech Search. This is a customized search engine created to meet the needs of the community by providing filtered search with the best websites out there, minimizing the irrelevant results and reducing your day-to-day searching time while giving you the results you are looking for.
Entrepreneurs also have a big share of our plans by introducing "Kick Start". An event where entrepreneurs can showcase their startups and projects to Venture Capitalists. Another version of Kick Start will be for students to showcase their graduation projects which is "Kick Start Students".
